Fincher Captures "Gone Girl"

David Fincher may direct a film adaptation of author Gillian Flynn's novel  "Gone Girl" says Deadline.

The story follows a woman who disappears on the day of her fifth anniversary, with all indications pointing to her husband as the killer.

Flynn also wrote the first draft of the screenplay. 

Reese Witherspoon (who may also star) and Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon will produce the film.
