Michael Gambon and Alfred Molina have joined the cast of director Ira Sachs' gay relationship drama "Love Is Strange" says Screen Daily.
Much like his acclaimed semi-autobiographical drama "Keep the Lights On," the story explores the romantic ups and downs of a gay relationship--except that "Strange" deals with an older, married couple (Gambon and Molina). The pair play longtime partners forced to live separately after their New York City wedding.
Sachs and his 'Lights' co-writer Mauricio Zacharias wrote the script.
Sachs, Lucas Joaquin, Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy will produce.
Production starts this Summer
