Dreamworks wants to see if it will have any luck bringing the Halo video game franchise to the big screen reports Vulture.
To avoid any possible legal difficulties in regards to the previous failed attempts, the studio wants to use some of the novelizations set in the "Halo" universe--no writer has been hired yet to tackle the job.
Game owner Microsoft Corporation isn't all that jazzed over this notion though with a source close to the company saying "It's a gigantic waste of time, because [the tech giant] doesn't want anything to happen in any other media that could screw up a multi-billion dollar franchise."
The latest go comes after the hugely successful release of the game title "Halo Reach" nabbed $200 million dollars on its launch day and demonstrated that interest in the franchise is still very high levels.
I will believe Halo the film will happen when I see footage
