"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Impacted By "Age of Ultron"

EW has confirmed that a future second season episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" will tie into events from Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".

The events in the film will have an impact somewhere around the 19th or 20th episode of the season.

The first season had it's 8th episode tie in to "Thor: The Dark World", an event that scored poor reviews. Later on, a multi-episode arc tied directly to the events chronicled in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"--those episodes were the highlight of the first season and saved the show in my opinion

Executive producer Jed Whedon says: "You should expect something. The Avengers
is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we're included in that."

Executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen adds that we should not expect as large a shake-up as last year: "I don't think any movie has the potential to impact us in the way that Captain America 2 did, but there will be connections."

The series had its Winter Finale last night...New episodes don't return until March to make way for the limited series "Agent Carter" starring Hayley Atwell.

Post-production  on the 'Avengers 2' continues to meet a release date of May 1, 2015.
