"Guardians" And "Avengers" Chatter

Back in July "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn seemed keen on the idea of the "Guardians" possibly meeting some of The Avengers--now seems to be suggest that any crossover of the two teams is unlikely.

He tells Screen Junkies:

"[We're] trying to make [Avengers] effect it as little as possible. We really are separate from the Avengers, and I don't think people should assume too many things about the Guardians play in all this. We have our own galaxy to take care of. We have our own galaxy to save. Earth is the Avengers' province. Thinking that everything is going to come together in a perfect way is not necessarily the way it's gonna happen."

Meantime the Brazilian website Overtice has reportedly uncovered emails from the Sony Pictures hack which seem to lend credence to the rumors that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are calling action on the Avengers: Infinity War - Part I /Avengers: Infinity War - Part II meaning that the Age of Ultron will be the last "Avengers" film directed by Joss Whedon

Marvel has said nothing about who will helm those two "Avengers" films, and with several years to go before they are in production things are still early yet.
