It's time for a film based on the classic fortune-telling toy Magic 8-Ball says Vulture and DeadlineJon Gunn and John Mann ("My Date With Drew") are writing the script looking to become a National Treasure-style action-adventure family franchise.

Tom Shadyac was originally set to develop the Magic 8 Ball film back in 2006 but he is no longer involved
