Paul Soter wrote the previous draft.

Meanwhile-Steve Conrad ("The Pursuit of Happyness") has been hired to pen a new draft of the long-gestating remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" says Risky Business.

Peter Morgan penned the most recent version of the script which portrayed Mitty as the shy owner of a retail mega-store who secretly dreams of becoming a hero.

Sacha Baron Cohen has most recently linked to play the title role.
