The Star Wars.movies are inching ever closer to a release on Blu-ray.
The head of fan relations for Lucasfilm Stephen J. Sansweet said last year, that the release would be the ultimate set.
Sansweet, told IGN a few days ago that company is indeed working on a Blu-set but backed away from the previous “ultimate” label.
"We have been at work for a couple of years working on – I won't call it the Ultimate Set because we keep finding stuff – but a very full set of all six movies on Blu-ray with lots of extra material. We're finding all kinds of scenes from dailies that have never been seen before. Beyond all of those things that you know about… there are some real treasures."
Hmm-- funny how they can keep “discovering” new stuff just when there’s the chance to make some fresh cash. Meaning they reserve the right to release the films multiple times Wonder what they’ll find for the inevitable 3-D home release?
Sansweet wouldn’t commit to a firm date, but The Digital Bits thinks that it's possible we could see the Blu-Wars by October 2011.
