Max Irons is locked while Gary Oldman and Julie Christie are in talks to join "Girl With The Red Riding Hood" aka Red Riding Hood reports The Press Association. Orphan screenwriter David Johnson's new spin on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale follows a young woman (Amanda Seyfried) in a medieval village being terrorized by a werewolf.
Christie would play the girl's grandmother who loves to knit with a pair of silver needles. Irons plays the son of a blacksmith who is betrothed to the girl. Oldman would play Father Soloman, the Witchfinder General who must find and kill the werewolf.
Shiloh Fernandez also stars.
Catherine Hardwicke directs while Leo DiCaprio , Julie Yorn and Jennifer Davisson Killoran are producing the pic.
