Shock Til You Drop and Production Weekly say David Hackl. is poised to direct a film adaptation of Vince Churchill's 2009 book "The Butcher Bride". The story is set around the Silas Mansion, a place haunted by a the ghost of a bloody bride who went on a murderous rampage thirty years ago after being attacked at a Halloween costume ball.
J.R. Reher adapted the script.
Hackl was previously attached to direct "Saw VII -3-D" until original director Kevin Greutert was legally obligated back to call action.
