From Chris To Liam

Anthony Hopkins is in final negotiations to play the villain in the 3-D action feature "Arabian Nights." says Heat Vision.

The period epic is set in a kingdom which has just been overtaken in a coup which killed the King.

Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth plays a young commander who enlists the help of Sinbad, Ali Baba and Aladdin to rescue Queen Scheherazade.

Hopkins plays the evil sorcerer Pharotu who killed Sinbad's mermaid lover and is seeking to increase his magical powers.

Chuck Russell (The Mask, Eraser, The Scorpion King) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Barry P. Ambrose.

Bill Johnson, Mark Ciardii and Gordon Gray will produce. Filming should kick off late Summer.

Surely the producers of Nights are keeping watch over how well Prince of Persia: Sands Of Time does in theaters later this month

Hopkins is of course working with Liam's brother Chris Hemsworth on Thor.
