-Writers Guild of America Noms Announced...


-Disney Central Plaza claims to have gotten its hands on a synopsis for Pixar's upcoming Monsters Inc. 2  The synopsis indicates that the story is a prequel: "[The film] will take us back to before a time when Mike Wazowski  (Billy Crystal) was top comedian, before James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) was top scarer, even before the buddies joined the MI workforce. In fact it takes us all the way back to school - the University of Fear to be precise. Although the two start out as frenemies, Monsters, Inc. 2 will weave the tale of how the dynamic duo transition from rivals to BFFs."

-Ewan McGregor is rumored to be playing Greenpeace activist and 'eco-pirate' Captain Paul Watson in the biopic "Ocean Warrior". Keith Ross Leckie and Julie Allan are writing the pic

-Jodie Foster is joining Matt Damon and Sharlto Copley in Elysium says Deadline --director  Neill Blomkamp's (District 9) next sci-fi feature. Story details are still being kept under wraps

-I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence could call action on a film version of author Laura Hillenbrand's  Unbroken says Deadline The story follows Louis Zamperini, a real life “former Olympic track prodigy who endured unimaginable hardship as a  World War II prisoner of war


- Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) have been cast in the leads as Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters says Heat Vision, Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) is attached to direct from a script by Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay, D.W. Harper and Kevin J. Messick.Filming is set to commence on March 7 in Berlin, Germany for a late 2011/early 2012 release. 


-George Clooney is attached to star in a film adaptation of The Monster of Florence says: Deadline The true crime tale focuses a series of 16 murders that took place in the beautific Italian city between the years 1968 and 1985. Police believe that the killings were all done by a single person, a serial killer that the local populace refered to as "Il Mostro". The victims were all couples, save for one pair (though the police believe that the murderer mistakenly believed the duo were a couple




-Monsters director Gareth Edwards has signed up to helm the Godzilla reboot says Variety  Edwards will team up with a new screenwriter to rework David Callaham's original script.

-A few weeks ago, it was reported that McG (Terminator Salvation) and Breck Eisner were both hoping to direct the Untitled Ouija Project Now Deadline reports that McG has won the gig and will be working from a Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz script
