Psycho Schematics

Sacha Gervasi will write and direct a film about how Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock made his signature film Psycho says The Los Angeles Times. Anthony Hopkins is negotiating to play Hitchcock.

The film is based on Stephen Rebello's 1990 book which  Black Swan co-writer John McLaughlin‘ previously adapted

The book explores how the 1960 hit "Psycho" was actually quite a departure for the Hitch in that it was a more explicitly shocking film which was meant to compete with other low-budget horror pictures of the day. The script weaves in the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville.as well. Helen Mirren has been mentioned to play Alma

No official deals have been made with Hopkins or Gervasi at this time, but they are imminent.

Yes!!!! As some you may know--I really learned to appreciate Hitch and his work in my youth and while getting my film degree-- So excited this one is FINALLY coming together!! If you have never read Rebello's book you simply must!
