Josh Duhamel  Ice Cube and Ryan Seacrest have joined the cast of director Garry Marshall's forthcoming rom-com New Year's Eve says The Wrap and The Hollywood Reporter.


A sequel of sorts to last year's Valentine's Day the ensemble pic follows various characters preparing for the New Year holiday. The storylines will overlap and features major stars working at discount rates.

Katherine Fugate penned the screenplay.

Duhamel plays a hopeless romantic who spends the day trying to get to New York in the hope of getting to a party in order to re-meet a mystery girl from last year.

Cube is a NYPD cop who is working with the director of the Times Square (Hilary Swank). Seacrest will play himself in a cameo.

Singer Bon Jovi, Seth Meyers Til Schweiger Halle BerryJessica Biel Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Sofia Vergara also star. Filming is underway

Shooting kicks off next month The film opens later this year on December 9th.
