There had been some concern that both the sex scene and a graphic birthing scene might give the film an R-rating, but the org saw fit to keep it in line with the previous three movies.
The rating is for "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements".
Sounds like it was a close call though.
