Directed by Frédéric Jardin, the original pic centers on an undercover cop trying to get back his kidnapped son from a drug-dealing nightclub owner. One problem, he's lost his only bargaining chip - a duffel bag filled with cocaine he and his partner stole in a botched job that got him stabbed.
Roy Lee and John Middleton will produce the remake.
The original film screened during the 2011 TIFF .
