War Over Z Changes

Director Marc Forster told MTV News that changes are a part of his adaptation of World War Z. But is trying to ease growing criticism over those differences....

The premise is based on the Max Brooks' created comic book Set a decade after a virus has turned much of the planet's population into zombies, the story follows a journalist interviewing subjects from around the world about their experiences during the 'zombie war'.The book fuses elements of political satire, war and survival horror as it explores how various nations, governments and individuals respond to the crisis.

The film is going to be a character driven narrative with the slow moving George Romero-style zombies of the book are going to be replaced by fast movers.

"I feel like we have a little bit different approach, but it doesn’t exclude that they might not eventually be fashioned how George Romero’s zombies move, it’s just a little bit different approach"

Forster states that they're "trying to keep it in the spirit of the book" despite all the alterations.

Mireille Enos, star of the hit TV series The Killing, is gonna play Karin Lane, the wife of Brad Pitt Anthony Mackie, James Badge Dale also star with Elyes Gabel who will play a character named Fassbach and Bryan Cranston make up the cast list

Matthew Michael Carnahan, brother of director Joe Carnahan, performed a rewrite on the script...

Filming is underway.
