Susan Sarandon is in talks to join the action thriller "Snitch." reports Heat Vision.
The pic follows a suburban father (Dwayne Johnson) whose teenage son is sentenced to thirty years under mandatory minimum drug laws. In order to reduce his son's sentence, the father goes undercover to find a senior drug dealer.
Sarandon will play an ambitious U.S. attorney who believes a drug bust can help her political career.
Ric Roman Waugh is set to direct and will re-write Justin Haythe's screenplay The story is based on a Frontline documentary.
Nigel Sinclair, Guy East, Alex Brunner, David Fanning and Gordon Gray are producing.
No word on when production start.
