The pic adapts author Matthew Quick's 2008 book of the same name
The story follows a delusional former high school history teacher (Bradley Cooper) who's just been released into the custody of his mom (Weaver). Believing that he’s only been away for a few months instead of the four years he just spent in a mental institution, the teacher sets about wooing back his ex-wife. but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbor (Jennifer Lawrence) with problems of her own.
Robert De Niro also stars as Cooper's dad
Production kicks off later this Fall.
