Rain became infected and was killed in the first film so, like Colin Salmon's character, it's not clear how she'll return.
Its also been confirmed that Shawn Roberts will have a cameo as Albert Wesker, reprising his role from "Resident Evil: Afterlife ".
Production starts in Oct with writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson in charge for a September 14th 2012 release date. Franchise stars Milla Jovovich Sienna Guillory and Boris Kodjoe are back as well.
