The official Facebook for Ridley Scott's sorta-prequel to Alien called Prometheus has been updated with a new synopsis that reveals a bit of new info:
"Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
Noomi Rapace Michael Fassbender Charlize Theron Idris Elba Rafe Spall, Sean Harris, Logan Marshall-Green and Ben Foster Kate Dickie star. With Emun Elliott Patrick Wilson and Benedict Wong also in the cast as well.
Scott is said to be shooting both an R rated and a PG-13 rated version of the script.
Damon Lindelof worked with director Scott on the script, which was originally written by Jon Spaihts
Filming is underway to meet a June 8th, 2012. release date.
