No official talks have begun yet but Marvel is said to be making overtures to get her to sign on
Brian Kirk, best known for directing episodes of the first season of the cable series Game of Thrones was said to to be also circling the job.
The sequel is expected to be on a larger scale than the first film with double the amount of Asgardian characters and the inclusion of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling more mythical Norse creatures.
The sequel is set for release on July 26, 2013.
Like Ken, Jenkins makes an interesting choice....we shall see what happens...
If Jenkins does the pic, she would be not only the first female director to helm a major superhero movie for Marvel--(Lexi Alexander's Punisher: War Zone was a small-scale superhero flick), but one of the few women put in charge of a summer blockbuster on the whole
