X-Men: Apocalypse: Singer Will Direct "First Class" Cast

Vulture has confirmed that Bryan Singer will return to call action on the just announced "X-Men: Apocalypse" the next chapter in the film series which will hit theaters on May 27, 2016 opposite Alice in Wonderland 2

This marks Singer's first back-to-back X-franchise directing gigs since the X-Men and X2 over a decade ago.

The other big question is which mutants will be involved?

The younger actors introduced in "X-Men: First Class" James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), and Nicholas Hoult (Beast). Lucas Till (Alex “Havoc” Summers), etc. are contracted for three films and are locked in to return.

The original trilogy stars Sir Ian McKellen Sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman  Ellen Page (Kitty Pride) and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) Anna Paquin (Rogue) Halle Berry (Storm). however aren't a sure thing,

The site says that because the film is a direct sequel to "X-Men: Days of Future Past" it will focus strictly on the younger cast as they take on the comic's greatest villain Apocalypse.

"X-Men: Days Of Future Past" hits screens May 23rd 2014.
