Hurt Is Older Allman In "Midnight Riders" Biopic

William Hurt has joined the the music biopic Midnight Riders says Variety.


A film adaptation of Gregg Allman's memoir "My Cross to Bear" The All-American Rejects singer Tyson Ritter and Wyatt Russell will play The Allman Brothers The duo will perform vocals, guitar, piano and organ throughout the film about the Southern rock group who hit it big in the 1960s and 1970s, as it dealt with numerous tragedies.

Hurt will play the present-day version of Gregg Allman.

Randall Miller is calling action using a script he wrote with Jody Savin.

Miller and Savin will also produce the pic

Production is set to begin in February in Savannah, Georgia
