Logan Huffman Makes "The Preppie Connection"

Logan Huffman ("We Gotta Get Out Of This Place") has joined the cast of the 1980s private school drug ring drama "The Preppie Connection" says Deadline.

Huffman plays Ellis Tynes, a wealthy student dating popular girl Alexis Hayes  (Lucy Fry).  Ellis treats lower class scholar Toby Hammel (Thomas Mann) with disdain until he learns he's a drug dealer.

Joseph Castelo is directing the film using a script he wrote with Ayad Akhtar and Ashley Rudden.

Castelo, Charlie Bunting, Adam Folk, Joseph Mensch F.A. Eric Schultz Carlo Sirtori and Billy Raftery are set to produce the film.

Production began last week in Staten Island.
