"The Foundation" Comic Becomes A Movie

Fox has picked up the film rights to Boom! Studios and Kody Chamberlain's graphic novel series called "The Foundation" says Heat Vision.

The story suggests that Nostradamus' books of foreshadowing have made him a rich man, and he took his riches and created a foundation to prevent the prophesies from happening. The comic focuses on the secret team in the present day who uses the prophet's published and unpublished works to predict threats to the world.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Divergent" scribe Evan Daugherty is attached to write the adapted screenplay.

Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Adam Yoelin will produce.

The project was previously set up by Paramount Pictures back in 2007, but it never moved forward.
