In the comics, the concept of 'Inhumans' is taking hold-The current thinking is that the mutant characters, such as Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and her twin brother Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) in writer/director Joss Whedon's superhero team sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be renamed 'inhumans'--which would in turn link the film to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Vin Diesel mentioned a long time ago that before signing on as Groot in James Gunn's film adaptation of "Guardians of the Galaxy" he was brought in to Marvel to discuss a quite different role for a "fresh IP".
Could Inhumans be that project? In a post on his Facebook page this weekend, Diesel shared this:
Post by Vin Diesel.
If he were to be cast in the flick, his likeliest role would be is that of the group's leader Black Bolt. The character doesn't speak, because his voice is so powerful it can trigger city-destroying events. As a result he's undergone rigorous mental training to prevent himself from uttering a sound, even in sleep.
It would be an ironic casting since Diesel's voice is the only part of his performance we hear in 'Guardians'.
