It's officially official. Peter Berg (pictured) has finally been confirmed as the director of a new flick adaption of Frank Herbert's epic sci-fi story Dune according toVarietyThe project is now looking for a writer or writers to take on the monumental task. Whomever that may be should know that Berg and co. are going for a faithful interpretation of Herbert's work.
Given the overall mixed reaction to the love it or hate it Dune motion picture from 1984 and even the much more on target TV mini-series of 2000-The most faithful filmed Dune yet is very welcomed...Berg's a talented director. I'm excited by the possibilities of him taking on the tale...
