A "scheduling conflict" has forced Orlando Bloom (pictured) to exit the Lone Scherfig directed film drama "An Education according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dominic Cooper (pictured bottom) is replacing Bloom on the project which begins shooting today in London.
The coming-of-age story is set in early 1960s London, and centers on a 17-year-old girl whose suburban life is about to be turned apart by the arrival of a 30-something playboy.
Noted author Nick Hornby penned the screenplay.
In this instance, at least, I think Bloom and Cooper are interchangeable. Cooper's not as well known as Bloom of course. But he has the acting chops for the film. See The History Boys and I think you would agree.
