Based upon Bryan Lee O'Malley's' Scott Pilgrim comic book series, "Life" tells the story of a young slacker (Cera) who meets the woman of his dreams but finds that he can only win her heart by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends.
Edgar Wright, who helmed the stupendous zombie-spoof "Shaun of the Dead") is calling the shots here as well , Wright also co-wrote the adapted screenplay with Michael Bacall
Cera is perfect for this role. His comedic skills and shy-like persona has helped his career soar proving that geek is in. Teaming with Wright should produce more great cinema from Cera.
Production is aiming to start by this Fall.
