Moving RIght Along...

The news came down a few days ago that the duo behind the upcoming comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" would be in charge of the next Muppet movie...

Fozzie Bear (My Favorite Muppet) And Kermit the Frog

Chatting with the folks at MTV News Jason Segel says about the project:

"I just want to go take it back to the early 80's, when it was about the Muppets trying to put on a show. That's what I'm trying to bring back".

"We want a lot of cameos. You look back at Charles Grodin Charles Durning, there were just such great performances in those movies. We've got a great plot. I think if we can execute it right, it will be terrific. But I can't tell you more - it's top secret."

When asked if he would have appear in the film in a lead human role...

"We haven't figured that out yet. Right now, we're just focused on trying to turn in an amazing script."

Segel and Nicholas Stoller seem to have the right notions to bring back what made the early films work so well.

A "great" script and cameos. Nothing beats the first film from 1979 which mixed the right combination to work great.

Fingers Crossed...
