A pair of my favorite actresses are making news:
First-Sarah Michelle Gellar (pictured) is negotiating to take over Kate Bosworth's role in the indie drama "Veronika Decides to Die" reports Variety.
The story concerns a severely depressed woman who rediscovers her will to live after learning that she has only days left due to the irreparable damage done to her heart as a result of, thanks to a recent suicide attempt.
Based on the book by Paulo Coelho-Larry Gross and Roberta Hanley adapted the screenplay,
Emily Young ("Kiss of Life") calls the shots...
This would be a good get for Gellar--allowing her to flex her dramatic acting chops...After that she needs to do a more mainstream film like Carla Gugino...
Gugino has nabbed the adult female lead opposite Dwayne Johnson in "Race to Witch Mountain" according to the folks at Mania
The film updates 1975's "Escape to Witch Mountain". Gugino (pictured)) plays a discredited astrophysicist and UFO expert who meets up with a cabbie (Johnson) who asks for her help and extraterrestrial expertise.
Andy Fickman is directing the tween supernatural flick-which begins shooting this month in Los Angeles.
