On Tour

Ron Shelton will direct the indie golf comedy "Q School" says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows a group of hopefuls battling it out in a competition to make the PGA Tour, with both their game and their personal lives sometimes ending up in the drink along the way.

Dennis Quaid and Tim Allen are circling the project which begins filming in the Spring.

John Norville. (who worked with Shelton on his other Golf comedy Tin Cup) and Shelton co-wrote the script.

Shelton loves the sports film genre see (Bull Durham "White Men Can't Jump")

But Caddyshack is still and always will be the best film about golf period.
