Screenwriter John August has optioned Steve Hely's novel "How I Became a Famous Novelist" reports Variety.In this blistering look at celebrity culture and literary fame, a roguish loser sets out to write the best-sellingest best seller of all time. When he actually pulls it off, he winds up cutting a path through America's cultural landscape.
August will adapt the book and may direct the film as well.
