Keeping It Simple

Comic creator/filmmaker Troy Nixey is set to direct the family fantasy feature "Simple Machines" says Variety.

The story sees a reclusive young inventor try to save his beloved creation from an evil industrialist before he uses it to corrupt the world.

The pic which Nixey wrote, takes a lot of influence from the lives of Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd.

Nixey is obviously putting his comic book roots to use for the premise on Machines.

Nixey is currently in production on the "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" remake in for producer Guillermo Del Toro..
