Shooter

Josh Hartnett has signed on to star in the revenge thriller "Gunslinger" says Variety.

The story is set in the near future in the snowy wasteland of a post-apocalyptic America. Hartnett will play a man who, along with his brother, sets out to kill the gang who killed their parents.

Chris Nahon's ("Blood: The Last Vampire") directing the pic.

Mark Williams and Albert Martinez Martin will be producing.

"This story takes a unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns ... but with better weapons," Williams said.

Hartnett gets knocked at times over his acting but I believe with the right material--He can deliver good work... Lucky Number Slevin for example.

This one sounds like The Boondock Saints meets Whiteout meets Blade Runner

Shooting kicks off in Canada early next year.
