Tim Pocock, who played the young Scott Summers /Cyclops in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" said the film spin-off X-Men: First Class is happening sooner than you know...or not...

Via his Twitter page recently he tweets that he is shooting an Australian TV series until February 2010 and "then X-Men: First Class"

Hours later following an online flurry though Popcock says he was the "victim of cruel prank" concerning the statement...

Josh Schwartz wrote the script but a director hasn't been officially announced. But original "X-Men" helmer Bryan Singer's name has been rumored as the possible director of "First Class"

And also...

Acting legend Christopher Plummer Brad Dourif and Madchen Amick have joined the cast of the comic book adaptation "Priest," says director Scott Stewart via Twitter.

Set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire, the story follows a warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

Amick will play Shannon, the mother of the kidnapped niece. No word on what roles the other two will take.

Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins co-star.

The film is scheduled for release next August.
