Micallef's script follows an adopted girl (Yara Shahidi) in Iowa who discovers her talent for butter carving. She soon finds herself in the town's annual contest in a fight against an ambitious local woman (Jennifer Garner) whose husband (Ty Burrell.) is the State's sculpting champion.
