Batman Hearts Pittsburgh

Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated superhero sequel The Dark Knight Rises will film in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says that four to six weeks of shooting are likely to take place downtown and in the surrounding area. It's not yet clear what elements of the film will be shot there.

Nolan "Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman."

Further shooting will take place in both the UK and Chicago where the previous two films--“Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight,”-- have been shot. At last report both Los Angeles and Bucharest were also on the TDKR locations roster.

Other recent films to have used Pittsburgh for shooting include Unstoppable "Love and Other Drugs," "The Next Three Days" and "I Am Number Four".
