The film will be a new adaptation of the sci-fi saga based on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale"--and bares little similarity with Paul Verhoeven's 1990 original pic
Woodbine will play the best friend of Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), and has developed a big-brother style relationship with him.
At present Farrell is the only locked cast member.
Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel have all been offered roles but none of them are confirmed as negotiations comtinue
Shooting kicks into gear May 15th with Kate's hubby Len Wiseman calling the shots from a script by Kurt Wimmer. Neal Moritz is producing. The film is set to open on August 3, 2012.--AND is NOT going 3-D!!!
