Holly Hunter has signed on to star in the drama "Still I Rise" and is in negotiations to star in Italian director Carlo Carlei's version of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet reports Deadline.
In 'Rise', two frustrated mothers (Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis) who join forces to transform an inner-city public school. Hunter will play the head of the teachers union Oscar Isaac co-stars
Daniel Barnz ("Beastly") directs from a script originally penned by Brin Hill which he then rewrote.
Mark Johnson will produce the pic
Julian Fellowes wrote this latest "Romeo" that stars Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet.
Hunter's role is unknowm and Romeo remains uncast
