Vivaldi X's Two

Two biopics about Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi are being made says The Hollywood Reporter.

Claire Foy and Max Irons (pictured) are attached to star in Boris Damast's film which is is set to begin shooting this September in Venice, Hungary, Germany and Bruges.

Neve Campbell, Jacqueline Bisset, Elle Fanning, Tom Wilkinson, Alfred Molina and Sebastian Koch are all in talks to co-star.

Meantime the Patricia Riggen-directed "Vivaldi" starring Jessica Biel, Ben Kingsley, Luke Evans and violinist David Garrett may have $3 million in production subsidies, but it does not have a production date yet.

Damast's film tells the true story of how the composer turned a group of women, who were the illegitimate daughters of courtesans, into an orchestra that eventually played for the Pope. Riggen's focuses on the composer’s struggle between his devotion to his music and the priesthood, and his love for a woman.
