Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Luis Guzman and Harry Dean Stanton have all joined the action thriller "The Last Stand" says Variety.
Directed by Jee-woon Kim--who is making his English language debut--the film follows a sheriff in a small town (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is the last one standing up against a Mexican drug cartel, which has escaped from a courtroom. Peter Stormare will play Burrell, a seasoned war veteran who carries out the villain's orders and leads a crew of men to try to take down Arnie
The roles for these additions are unknown
Jaimie Alexander will play “a beautiful cop under Schwarzenegger’s command” who has a romance with Rodrigo Santoro's rookie cop named Frank Martinez. Zach Gilford (TV's "Friday Night Lights") is set to play a young small-town cop who works for Schwarzenegger’s sheriff character. Eduardo Noriega will play said drug lord named Cortez
Andrew Knauer wrote the spec script which Jeffrey Nachmanoff and George Nolfi polished.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the pic.
Production kicked off Monday in New Mexico for a January 18th, 2013 bow.
