Collins Doesn't Like Her "English Teacher"

Lily Collins ("Abduction") has been cast in the indie comedy "The English Teacher" says Deadline.


In the film, Julianne Moore will play a popular high school English teacher whose personal life pales in comparison to the energy she brings to her teaching. When a promising former pupil (Michael Angarano) returns home after failing as a playwright in New York, she suggests her high school perform his unproduced play.

Collins will play a popular high schooler who comes into conflict with the teacher.

Charlie Saxton Greg Kinnear and Nathan Lane co star

Dan Chariton and Stacy Chariton wrote the script from which Craig Zisk's making his feature directorial debut.

Naomi Despres, Robert Salerno Matthew E. Chausse and Ben LeClair are set to produce the pic that starts shooting in NYC this week
