Hope For GL 2 At NYCC

Despite the disappointing box office of  "Green Lantern" DC Comics Coo Geoff Johns told his New York Comic Con audience that he  is hopeful there'll be another "Green Lantern" flick according to Heat Vision.

He said: "There is the hope that we will eventually see one… I hope that the character gets another film, and it will be live-action again - I guarantee." He adds that he thought there was "a lot of really good stuff in the movie."

Time Warner chairman Jeffrey L. Bewkes said the film "did not live up to expectations - fell fairly far short of those" and any decision on a potential sequel would come "in due course."

"GL" was made with a production budget of at least $200 million, but made a very disappointing $116 million domestically and $103 million internationally at the box-office - making its $219 million total

Compared to the other Summer '11 superheroes GL is in last place for theatrical gross.

The film was just released on Blu-ray/DVD and boasts a lot of good stuff with great pic and sound to hopefully make up some ground
