Cameron says it’s about two thirds of the way there in the development process and this version will have an emotional center- “I gave him [writer/director Shawn Levy] my idea about how this should be turned into a love story and he’s really run with it”.
The remake story will center on a doctor going through troubled times in his marriage who finds himself miniaturised and injected into his gravely ill wife in order to save her life.
Regular producer partner Jon Landau is on board as well.
