Olivia Wilde will play 1970s supermodel Susan Miller in the racing biopic drama "Rush" says Deadline.
The story follows Formula One racer Niki Lauda and his rivalry with fellow racer James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth). Lauda (Daniel Brühl) barely survived a fiery crash during a 1976 race, and still came back a mere six weeks later to race Hunt.
The model ended her marriage to Hunt after only 14 months when she began having feelings for her husband's close friend, actor Richard Burton.. Of course, allegations that Hunt had bedded an impressive 5,000 women, many of them during his marriage, didn't help his case. Burton paid the $1 million divorce settlement that Hunt owed Miller, Burton and Miller were married shortly afterwards
The report also mentions that director Ron Howard is looking to perhaps cast his A Beautiful Mind star Russell Crowe as Burton
Howard will direct the film from a screenplay by Peter Morgan.
Brian Grazer, Brian Oliver Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce the film.
Rush has not gotten an official U.S. theatrical release date yet
This is not to be confused with the Untitled James Hunt Biopic that has Alex Pettyfer in the driver's seat to star
