Jolie May Get Small Part In The Councelor

Angelina Jolie is reportedly in talks with director Ridley Scott to play a small part in the thriller "The Counselor"-- from a spec script from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy according to Vulture.

In the tale Michael Fassbender will play a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked in. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation.

The deets of Jolie's role are unknown.

Natalie Portman is tipped to play his fiancee Laura while Jeremy Renner and Javier Bardem were up to play the role of the villain, a criminal named Reiner who facilitates the lawyer's entry into the drug trade. The bad guy role is being likened to Bardem's turn in the film adaptation of McCarthy's "No Country for Old Men". Both  Bradley Cooper and Angie's hubby Brad Pitt were circling that role at one point.

Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz will produce.

Production is due to start this Summer
