The third trailer for Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" will be attached to copies of Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" on May 4th in the United States says Nolan Fans by way of the Warner Bros Exhibitor site.
A new trailer has been expected with either "The Avengers" and/or Warners own "Dark Shadows" coming May 11th.
Internationally, "The Avengers" comes out next week, meaning 'Shadows' will likely be the best bet for a first glimpse on the big screen.
Both the previous trailers for 'Rises' played in cinemas for several days before they went officially online.
Christian Bale Tom Hardy Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt Marion Cotillard Josh Pence, Alon Aboutboul and Nestor Carbonell star along with a return of the trilogy's ensemble cast such as Morgan Freeman Gary Oldman and Michael Caine Cillian Murphy and Liam Neeson might also be making cameos
Matthew Modine Tom Conti Joey King Daniel Sunjata Diego Klattenhoff Christopher Judge "CSI: Miami" co-star Adam Rodriguez and Burn Gorman take on secondary roles. Rob Brown and Italian actor Massi Furlan have small roles in the film as well
Nolan called action on the DKR from a screenplay he wrote with bro Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Nolan and David S. Goyer that features Bane (Hardy) and Catwoman (Hathaway) plotting to take down Batman (Bale).
The sequel is set to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
