The lovely Malin Akerman tells Risky Biz Blog that the fate of Matthew Wilder's Lovelace biopic "Inferno" which she's been attached to since late 2010, is looking mighty grim.
"I don't know if that's even going to go. Last I heard, which was just before Christmas, we were supposed to start shooting in March, and now it's April. It's been one of those doomed films that I absolutely love and totally believe in, I love the script"
Lovelace, whose real name was Linda Susan Boreman, ultimately denounced her pornography career, becoming a spokesperson for the anti-pornography movement.
The film was to be based on the events of Lovelace's life depicted in her book Ordeal, delving into the "difficult stuff she went through and overcame," according to producer Wali Razaqi
Adam Goldberg, Harold Perrineau, Sasha Grey Matt Dillon and Paz De La Huerta were lined up to co-star in the film
It's risky subject matter and funding may be behind its stall- "It's a big one to take a chance on because it's really some heavy content. So I don't know what's been going on, I don't know why it hasn't gone yet. I would hope and love for it to go, but now this other movie is coming on that Amanda Seyfried did, and I kind of feel like, sh*t, we should have been on that."
